Before gluing the fuselage halves together,
I recommend slightly “knocking down” the
edge of the upper and lower contact surfaces.
This, in conjunction with using a thin type of
glue, will result in the creation of the join line
down the length of the top and bottom fuselage
centerlines.
The kit contains two options for attaching the
antenna wire to the fin of the aircraft.
The joint between the rear cockpit bulkhead (DK30) and the
fuselage was puttied and sanded before painting with RLM 66.
I replaced the thick glass of the kit Revi
16B plastic with thinner ones made of
transparent sheet.
The wheel wells are very detailed, and their fit is a precise affair. Therefore,
it is best to use a thin solvent type glue.
Unlike previous versions of the Bf 109, the rounded section of the wells have four thinned perforations.
