The use of thermo-pneumatic or
mechanical aerial bomb fuses is currently
largely being abandoned in favor of other
detonation methods, primarily for reasons
of safety and reliability. But that is a topic
for another article…
I would like to dedicate this article to the memory of
two close colleagues and friends, Major Ing. Pavel
Vaňha and Petr Soukop—who, sadly, left us far too soon
this year. Thanks to their passion for photographing
aircraft and the activity surrounding them, we had
the opportunity to see their images in numerous posts,
publications, and books. Thank you for everything, and
may you have blue skies forever, boys…
