To mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of
Britain, an independent publisher Plastic Invasi-
on has launched a new book project on Indiego-
go – Wings Over Britain – A Tribute to the Few.
The publication connects historical research,
aviation heritage, and scale modeling, focusing
on the iconic Spitfire Mk.I and the men who flew
it.
Built around the Eduard 1/48 Spitfire kit, the
book offers an in-depth photographic guide co-
vering assembly, painting, and weathering, com-
plemented by studies of RAF pilot equipment
and period references.
It combines clear, workshop-level instruction
with visual storytelling that puts the reader ri-
ght into the atmosphere of 1940.
The book will be available in Standard and Li-
mited Indiegogo Editions, with optional signed
copies and a Battle of Britain A2 art poster.
