In recent years, 3D printing has gained widespread popularity
in the modeling industry, particularly for accessory production.
A few years ago Eduard, too, embraced this technology, gradually
replacing traditional casting methods with direct printing,
constituting approximately 80% of our Brassin production.
Removing Supports: Cut supports using a sharp scalpel, razor saw, or ultrasonic knife.
The primary advantage of 3D-printed
accessories lies in their simplicity, with
fewer parts enhancing user-friendliness
in terms of assembly. Unlike cast kits that
suffer from shape instability due to mold
degradation, 3D-printed parts maintain
dimensional stability.
Here's an overview of working with our
3D prints, simple activities suitable for
modelers of varying skill levels.
The 3D printed parts are connected to
the base through printing supports. These
supports are typically terminated directly
with a rod in areas where the side is not
visible. When the supports are attached
to the visible side of the part, small balls
are added to the top of these supports to
prevent them from chipping off along with
a piece of the set's part during removal.
