The P-51B Mustang in
the ROYAL HYBRID 1/32
line is a new release for
August 2026. The kit in-
cludes a combination of
plastic and printed parts,
a printed pilot gure,
a decal sheet for 8 mar-
king and painting sche-
mes, small photo-etched
parts sheet, a mask sheet
for painting the canopy,
landing gear bay covers
by OMASK, and a book
on the development and
operational deployment
of the P-51B.
Of the eight color
schemes, four are for
Mustangs with birdcage
canopies and four are for
Mustangs with Malcolm
Hood canopies. These are
aircraft from the ghter
groups of the 8th and
9th Air Forces of the
USAAF.

HYBRID
The large airframe parts and clear parts are injection molded from plastic (polystyrene), as are, for example, the
landing gear covers, propellers, control surfaces, aps, and antennas—the plastic parts are shown in green in the
picture. The exhausts, machine gun barrels, landing gear legs, and the cockpit and landing gear bay assemblies are
3D-printed. The wheels are cast from polyurethane, and the wheel discs are 3D-printed—the 3D-printed parts are
shown in gray in the image.
