This rack is used for the simultaneous
suspension, carriage and dropping of four
bombs in the 50 to 100 kg weight class. The
dropping of the bombs done in series, and only
as live weapons. The structure of the rack is
of a load bearing beam type, which has the
shape of an octagonal cross section. The front
and rear parts are aerodynamically tapered.
On the beam, four bomb locks for hanging
bombs and adjustable bomb stops are placed
in a tandem arrangement one behind the other.
On the outside, the beam is fitted with an
MPI-155 block mechanisms for controlling
electro-pyrotechnically secured igniters,
MVN-66 mechanisms for controlling
mechanically secured igniters, MBS-66 locking
mechanisms for controlling the indication
circuit and the safe functioning of the aerial
bomb drop system. The order of bomb drop is
precisely determined and cannot be changed.
