S-5K Unguided Air Launched Rocket
This round has a cumulative warhead and
a mechanical impact fuse of the V-5K type.
The rocket is stabilized in flight by a 1500 rpm
rotation. It is intended for the destruction of
ground armored targets (tanks, armored
personnel carriers, etc.).
Main Components:
Basically comparable to the S-5M round,
differing only in the warhead and fuse.
The Warhead (1) destroys the target with its
cumulative effect (with the help of a specially
shaped so-called cumulative cup), but the
explosive is again a phlegmatized form of
hexogen,
The V-5K head fuse (2) is a mechanical impact
unit, with immediate effect, without self-
destruction. It provides initiation of explosives
in the warhead of the rocket. It is mounted
(screwed) in the extended warhead.
