KANADSKÉ MUZEUM LETECTVÍ A KOSMONAUTIKY
This Junkers J.I is another world unique item. It came to Canada in 1919 as war booty, was exhibited in Toronto and was then part of the spoils of war collection at Camp Borden and later in the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. In the Berlin Technical Museum you can find on display the armored part of the hull of another J.I.
Another unique item is this AEG G.IV, the world‘s only surviving WW1 German multi-engine bomber. Between 1968 and 1970 it was reconstructed in cooperation with the RCAF.
Canadian-built Lancaster Mk.X. From August, 1943, Canadian Lancaster Mk.X aircraft were built by the state-owned company Victory Aircraft in Malton, Ontario, and supplied to Canadian bomber squadrons in Europe. After the war, many of them continued to serve with the RCAF in various roles, such as maritime patrol, search and rescue, and aerial mapping. Several Lancaster Mk.X aircraft are held in the collections of Canadian aviation museums, and at least two remain airworthy, serving as highlights at air shows.
