KANADSKÉ MUZEUM LETECTVÍ A KOSMONAUTIKY
Another unique exhibit is a 1931 Junkers W 34. Canadian Airways, at the time the largest operator of bush planes in Canada, used the aircraft to provide a link to a logging area near Oskélanéo in northern Quebec, where an airfield had been established as early as 1924. The aircraft later changed hands several times and flew in Western Canada. In 1962, it was purchased by Muriel Sprague Richardson, who subsequently donated it to the museum in memory of her husband, James Richardson, the founder of Canadian Airways.
This 1928 Fairchild FC-2W-2 was donated to the museum by the company Aero Services, which had acquired the aircraft from its original owner, the American firm Brock & Weymouth, in whose service the aircraft remained until the early 1940s.
