This October, for the first time in my life, I attended the International Engineering Fair in Brno. My colleague Jakub Nademlejnský had arranged a meeting there with a potential supplier as we are looking to purchase new equipment to manufacture both our existing product line and some new items.

Task Force 58 off the Coast of Japan
The US Navy’s raids on Japan in mid-February 1945 were the first major test for Japanese air units facing low-flying attackers over their homeland. For American airmen, it was an exhilarating, truly historic moment: they had the chance to strike at the heart of the Japanese Empire from aircraft carriers operating just a few dozen nautical miles off enemy shores.

Guide to Mr. Hobby's Metallic Paints
Achieving a metallic look on plastic model parts is one of the biggest challenges for any plastic modeler. No matter what kind of plastic models we’re building, plain silver paint is rarely enough. The Japanese manufacturer Mr. Hobby offers several specific lines of metallic paints designed to create an authentic metallic finish; however, each product line is based on a different technology, requiring a distinct approach, and each is also suited for a different type of surface. In this part of our article series on Mr.Hobby products, we’ll take a detailed look at them, including all the application tips, so that everyone always knows exactly which product to reach for – not just for the upcoming new MiG – 15 kit.

The Air War in Ukraine - Drones Destroy Aircraft on the Ground
In this installment of the series, we take a closer look at the period from September 1 to September 30, 2026. During this time, Russia’s bombing campaign against Ukrainian cities continued, particularly against Kyiv. However, there were no aerial engagements. Instead, drones on both sides focused on destroying aircraft directly at their airbases.

Tail End Charlie
When we at our company profile our typical customer, we always end up with a man between the ages of 40 and 60 - someone who can still see the models clearly, the kind of person who is creative and would rather stay home than go out to a bar for a beer in the evenings. Instead, he prefers to retreat to his little den, gluing together his models until midnight (and some even later), while his wife is at ease because her husband is home and she doesn’t have to worry about when he’ll actually come back from the bar.
