During stabilized descent, the following occurs:
- the KPA-4 time delay is initiated between 0 and 1.6 seconds
- the arm restraints are deployed,

- the second stabilizing parachute is pulled out into the air stream,
- the seat with the pilot on the second stabilizing parachute descends to the height set on the PPK-1M and PPK

Emergency Canopy Jettison
In cases where it is not necessary to directly eject the pilot with the seat and an emergency canopy jettison is sufficient to effectively preserve the
life of the pilot, the actions described below must be performed. When the cockpit canopy emergency jettison lever, which is located on the right
side of the cockpit, is tilted forward in the horizontal plane, after it is tilted vertically downward and pulled back, the combat wedge is torn out and
the PK-3M1 unit and the explosive charge is detonated. The gas pressure from it is simultaneously transferrs to four telescopic tube assemblies
of the canopy jettison system. Using a system of rods and levers, four canopy locks are disengaged. At the same time, a spring amplifier is also
activated using the rods and levers, which helps to disengage the canopy locks. After unlocking, the telescopic tubes are extended and the cockpit
canopy is thrown clear of the aircraft. The first stage of the KSM device is also unlocked using a cockpit canopy strap.
