The left side of the KM-1M ejection seat with

Safe ejection from the aircraft is carried out
using the combined KSM launch mechanism
during takeoff and landing at a speed of more
than 130 km/h (80mph) at zero altitude and up
to a height of 20,000m (65,600ft) in level flight,
to a maximum indicated speed of 1200 km/h
(745mph).
The seat is equipped with a deep headrest,
a double DOR launch handle on the seat proper,
an arm restraint system and foot grips, and the
pilot's harness system with a KKO-5 flightsuit
protects the pilot against air pressure in the
specified range of altitudes and speeds.
